Paris (France - EU), 12.07.2010 - 3B Tips - The UMP deputy mayor of Orleans was elected Wednesday 1 December President of the Commission for Sustainable Development and Regional Planning Assembly, succeeding Christian Jacob, who took over the group of UMP deputies.
Serge Grouard, 51, was elected the first round with 27 votes against 17 to Socialist Jean-Paul Chanteguet (Indre) and 4 to Stéphane Demilly (New Center, Sum). He beat during a primary in the majority group, Jérôme Bignon, current vice-chairman of that committee and party for this office.
The Commission for Sustainable Development and Planning was created on 1 July 2009 by splitting the Committee on Economic Affairs, Environment and Territory.
It addresses issues of planning, construction, transport, equipment, infrastructure, public works, environment and wildlife.
Serge Grouard graduated from IEP Paris and holds a postgraduate degree in international relations / strategy and patent officers of the Graduate School Staff (ESORSEM). His career as a civil administrator was held in the City of Paris and the Ministry of Defence. It was originally an amendment of the law called "Grenelle I" (February 2009) removing the assent of the architecture of buildings in France for structures built in protected areas. The binding nature of this review has been restored on the initiative of Dominique Braye by the Senate in September 2009, under the law known as "Grenelle II [10].
