France 29/11/2010 - 3B Tips - 12 new military sites have recently been contracted by the Ministry of Defence, Ministry first user in the domain of the State. This ministry has military sites in mainland and overseas to enable the training of his forces (land maneuver, driving ranges shooting ...). This new signature brings to 18 the number of military sites under contract in 2010 with the Federation of conservatories (CNF) chaired by Pascal Vauthier (speaker at the conference and Environmental Defense, a new way of thinking of 07/03/2007).
Given their limited use and military, these lands have been preserved from urbanization and intensive agriculture. They have a wealth of flora and fauna recognized in national and European level. 50 000 hectares of land have already been classified military Natura 2000. Six camps for the Army are the subject since the 80 partnership agreements with regional conservation ecological and county natural areas (CEN) who helped implement a sustainable management of these camps, consistent with their assignment.
